At 2pm, we began our journey. We left our home in Waterbury Center, VT for a 28-hour adventure for food. By 5:30, we had made it to Alisson’s Restaurant in Kennebunkport, ME. Here, we ordered lobster mac n cheese and an amazing lobster roll trio (Lobster Bisque lobster roll, classic lobster roll, and a BLT lobster roll). After that amazing meal, we took a walk along the coast to observe the sunset before checking into our hotel (we stayed at the Hampton Inn in Kennebunkport). We then set out to get ice cream at Arundel Ice Cream Shop before calling it a night.

We got an early start to our day to ensure we got only the freshest of doughnuts from Congdon’s in Wells, ME (restaurant review here), where we arrived at 6:15am. In addition to ordering dozens of doughnuts (some for us, some for family), we also sat down for breakfast. Kayla got a French Toast Honey Bun, and Erik got a butter crunch doughnut cooked into a pancake. We also ordered a side of chocolate covered bacon. From there is was a little rest at hotel before packing up and heading toward Boston. On the way, we stopped the Wells Reserve at Laudholm in Wells, ME to walk around and at Captain’s Corner Mini Golf in Salisbury, MA before arriving at Boston Burger Company in Salem, MA (restaurant review here). Here we got a lunch that consisted of 2 burgers (the Rundown and the Sophie), a Churro-ly We Can Taco Bout It milkshake, and an order of Mumbo fries (all pictured below). Leaving there in a food coma, we somehow were able to drive back home by 5:30pm.
