12-Hour Food Trip

Friday, July 6, 2018
We began our adventure at 8am at Peacham Pond, where Kayla’s family has a camp. A little over 3 hours later, we arrived in Somerville, MA, home to one of the many Boston Burger Company locations (restaurant review here). After a huge meal of burgers (a Vermonster and a Hot Mess) and shakes (The King and Churro-ly We Can Taco Bout It), we headed to Stonewall Kitchen in York, ME – just to browse. Then a quick round of mini golf at Wells Beach Mini Golf, and we were off to Congdon’s Doughnuts (restaurant review here) – no, not for doughnuts this time, but for Congdon’s After Dark, a food truck park. We got to Congdon’s around 4:30pm where, in addition to some food truck food, we got a bottle of the Maple Bacon Fritter Stout and a pour of the Honey Dip Blonde which was on tap, both made with Congdon’s donuts. About an hour later, we were on our way back home, where we arrived at 8:30pm, with just enough time to reflect on our great adventure before bed!
