For the week of Christmas, we decided to make some very non-Christmas-y meals, similar to what we did just before Thanksgiving.
One of our meals will be balsamic pork chops with cheesy baked cauliflower and homemade focaccia (recipe from Claire Saffitz’s Dessert Person – highly recommended!).
Our other meal will be homemade sushi. We stopped at our local Asian market, Everest (review coming soon) and picked up a bamboo mat, sushi rice, nori, etc. and will most likely be picking up some sushi tuna from The Scale Poke Bar.
We will also be picking up the ingredients we need for our Christmas meals (which will include a brunch as well as a dinner): breakfast sausage, fruit, green beans, carrots, and ham.
