Review

A little late again, but here we are with October’s Spice Madam box, which was from Goa, India’s smallest state. It contained Goan Spice Blend, Turmeric, Black Mustard Seeds, and Indian Chili Powder (although none of the recipes in the box used this chili powder). We made a Goan Spice Paste which combined ginger, garlic, and coconut with the Goan Spice Blend as a base for a Fish Curry (first picture) and a Mixed Vegetable Curry (second picture). Served with the Fish Curry is a Spiced Lemon Rice which used the Turmeric and Black Mustard Seeds. The last picture is of a Coconut Baath Cake. We also made Tomato and Onion Bhaji which were like little vegetarian sloppy joe sliders (not pictured).
