Our typical order from Hong Kong Chinese includes a combination of the following:
- Sesame Chicken (#106 or C36) or Orange Chicken (#109)
- Vegetable Lo Mein (#32 or C31)
- Crab Rangoon (#10)
- Egg Roll (#1)
- Beef Teriyaki (#8)
- Steamed Dumplings (#3)
We do not generally prefer Hong Kong’s General Tso’s Chicken, so if that is your typical go-to order for Chinese food, bear that in mind.
The Verdict
Hong Kong is not just your typical Chinese take-out place. Their food is the freshest-tasting Chinese we have ever had and it comes at an EXTREMELY reasonable price. They are the nicest people who always greet you with a smile. Sometimes the kids are even out helping, doing homework, or playing. We have eaten in once before, and while not the most romantic of places (they definitely focus more on takeout), it was a pleasant experience. Serving sizes are more than generous and we find that we can typically get two meals out of any of our orders, making them even more budget-conscience.
