Taking advantage of the Shaw’s sales this week, we will be making beef stew with potatoes, carrots, and onions. We’ll be pairing with it some homemade Amish Bread (keep your eye out for the recipe soon!).
While our other meal doesn’t take advantage of the deals at Shaw’s this week, we were really craving some Mexican – so we are making Spanish rice and steak tips, and picking up both some tortillas and tortilla chips so that we can decide each night if we want to make a burrito or nachos.
Both dishes are nice and hearty and great fall dishes that we’re happy won’t take too long to make so we can have the rest of the weekend to celebrate Erik’s 30th birthday, which is today! Look out for a summary post of our weekend celebration on Monday!
